What Mountain Are You Climbing?
It has been a few months since I last shared my story and thoughts publicly. Frankly, I stopped writing because life got busy and self-doubt took over. I started questioning if what I had to share really mattered and if anybody truly cared. But recently, something shifted. I’ve been touched by all of you that have reached out, asking, “What happened? When will you write again?”
Even though I am grateful to have enjoyed a lot of success in the business world as an entrepreneur–starting, growing, and selling companies–as well as an advisor serving on boards of non-profit and for-profit organizations, I now more than ever believe that it is essential to create a life that is aligned with our values.
Each of us is climbing a mountain, setting goals, and doing the best we can to reach the summit. But, it’s actually not about the climb or reaching the summit; it’s about making sure we’re climbing up the right mountain in the first place, one that’s aligned with who we truly are.
—> I would like to share this very special video with all of you.
If we don’t take the time to reflect, we’ll end up climbing somebody else’s mountain only to find a deep emptiness at the top, which is exactly what happened to me. The journey of life has meaning only when our mountain is chosen with purpose and authenticity.
Sharing my story, the lessons I’ve learned along the way, and my perspective on life are all part of my mountain. Because of that, I’m back, writing with a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to being as real and as raw as possible, with the hope of inspiring each of you to create your most fulfilling, authentic life.
I would like to leave you with a question: What mountain are you climbing? Why?
Let’s Climb with Purpose, Together!
